You deserve to see them free from this, and I’m here to walk it with you, alright.

About Me
My name is Nicholas Griggs and I am the lead coach and owner of Rise and Walk Drug Intervention Support. As someone who has lived through many years of addiction, jail and even prison I know how hard it can be to get things turned around, but I also know it's not impossible. I spent 17 years of my life addicted to Meth and Heroin, 11 of those years I spent selling the drugs and 2 of those years I spent behind bars in state prison. It was a long hard and hopeless road for me. My family worried and prayed that I would somehow survive it all only to watch me fall time and time again. In 2013 at the age of 32 I was facing the possibility of prison again if I didn’t stop selling heroin or it would be an overdose that got me instead. That's when I made the decision that changed my life. I leaned into my faith and broke away from the lifestyle that was tearing me apart. It was a hard road to freedom but over time it became easier.
Today I have many years clean and I no longer struggle with addiction in any form. I am the lead pastor of a local church and am happily married with children and debt free.Disclaimer - I am a life coach that specializes in coaching people into getting the help that they need during a drug intervention. I am not a trained medical professional or counselor. I am just a guy who has been there and done that. I have worked with addicts for years now and have found that they respond best to someone who truly understands what they are going through. I offer them hope by being a living breathing example of the truth that addiction is beatable. I have had great success in being able to get through to people when they need it the most. I give you my word that if we work together I will do all that I can to make sure that the intervention is a success in order to save the life of your loved one. Addiction is serious business and I take it very seriously. You can check me out on our church website at www.simplyrooted.org or our church YouTube channel @GrassrootsRevivalOnlinehttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbEHU4Ls5D2PyZPACK6Mikg
I understand your pain.
I've lived it. And I can help.
I’ve been where they are. I know those struggles firsthand. My own run with drugs took me down a dark road—pain, hopelessness, just wrecking myself. For years, I fought that cycle, crashing again and again, feeling like there was no way out. Everything I cared about—my health, my relationships, me—was slipping away. At my lowest, I had two choices: keep sinking or fight back. I chose to fight. Getting help? Man, it wasn’t easy, but it was the best move I ever made. I learned recovery’s more than just dropping the junk—it’s about rebuilding, finding respect for yourself, getting back to who you’re meant to be.Addiction’s got them thinking they’re alone, that they’re stuck for good—but I’m proof that’s a lie. I’ve walked that road, took the hits, and came out stronger. Now, I see you hurting, wanting them back, and I’m here to help.I’ll sit with them, talk straight, try to break through and point them to real help—like a church or a counselor, rehab and detox that can carry it forward. I'm hear to help you have that conversation with them, to help them take that step to get help.

Your Questions, Answered
I provide support and offer help with strategic planning for anyone wanting to have a heart to heart with a loved one who is struggling with addiction. My goal is to use my own past experiences with addiction and recovery to help talk your loved one into getting the help that they need. In short, I am a life coach that specializes in coaching people into choosing sobriety over addiction. After we get your loved one into treatment I will provide weekly check-in phone calls for up to 4 weeks with them.
Anyone that is in need of help talking to a loved one who is stuck in addiction of any kind.
I offer a conversation that could change everything—sharing my story of overcoming 17 years of addiction and prison to show it’s possible. I’ll listen, encourage, and coach you toward treatment and a fresh start, with no judgment.
If you decide to hire me we will start with an honest, heartfelt conversation—usually over the phone/zoom. I’ll share what worked for me, answer your questions, and ask you for as much information on the situation as you can possibly give so that we can plan our next step. We will then plan the best time and place to hold the coaching session with your loved one. Addicts can be unpredictable so we will stay in communication the week before the session in case something needs to change. During that week before the session I will provide you with as many treatment options as I can. It will be up to you to make the proper phone calls to set up detox or rehab your loved one. It is best that they be able to go directly into detox or rehab after the session if possible. Before the session I will meet with you one hour prior to the meeting. Once the session starts I will do all that I can to support you and to add value to the conversation. I will do all I can to help your loved one see the path to recovery and to focus them on the next step, like entering treatment.
What to expect
First consultation is free. Phone call or zoom. We will use that time to connect and to help me understand your needs.
Intervention support package includes me personally walking beside you through one intervention followed up by a weekly 30 minute phone call with your loved one for up to 4 weeks after the intervention. I will help you locate the right program for your loved one as well as help you come up with the best strategy for how we should conduct the intervention. I will use my prior experience with addiction as well as my experience working with addicts as our guide.
My goal is to create a space of trust, understanding, and support. If you have any questions or preferences, please feel free to share them—I’m here for you!
If you would like me to talk about my faith I can do that as well. This is optional. My goal is simply to guide your loved one to the help that they need.

Not at all. Faith helped me, but I’m here for everyone—faith or no faith. My goal is to help you choose life, however you find the strength to do it.
I’m not a therapist or a replacement for rehab—I’m a coach who’s lived it. I’ve been an addict, a dealer, and a prisoner, and I made it out. My strength is relating to you and inspiring that first step, not just treating symptoms.
Support package starts at $2000 and includes the following: Initial meeting with me via Zoom call. Up to one hour. Help finding the right treatment program for your loved one. Access to me personally the week before the intervention. One intervention support and coaching session with me personally. 4 weekly check-in phone calls.
The first win is deciding to try—that can happen in one talk. Real change takes time, but I’ve seen people choose treatment and start healing within days or weeks of connecting with me.
I’ve been where you are—17 years addicted, 2 in prison—and I’m now clean, a pastor, and a dad. I’ve coached others like you to choose life. My life is proof it’s possible.
Just reach out—email me at [insert contact] or call [insert number]. Tell me your story or your loved one’s, and I’ll take it from there with 100% effort.
